About the Role

Optimize the extrusion process parameters to ensure high-quality and efficient production.
Scale-up 3D printing from prototypes to manufacturing.
Collaborate with cross-functional team members in design and mechanical engineering to meet project objectives.
Perform materials characterization, including mechanical, thermal, and chemical analysis, to evaluate material properties and performance.
Conduct experiments and perform data analysis to identify process improvements and optimize material formulations.
Troubleshoot and resolve process-related issues, ensuring smooth and continuous production.
Create and maintain detailed documentation of procedures and quality.
Stay updated with the latest advancements in materials science, 3D printing technologies, and manufacturing processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or a related field. Master's degree preferred.

  • Strong knowledge of materials science principles, polymer chemistry, and chemical engineering.

  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. English is a must.

  • Solid understanding of 3D printing technologies, including extrusion-based processes.

  • Hands-on experience with injection molding and polymer extrusion processes.

  • Proficiency in materials characterization techniques, such as mechanical testing, thermal analysis, and spectroscopy.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and optimize processes.

  • Excellent documentation and organizational skills.

  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment, collaborating with cross-functional teams.

  • Ability to adapt to changing project priorities and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
